Heard of this place called the Zone of Silence in Mexico ? a place where many parts of this small town would get radio silence in every few steps. Back in 1971, a huge meteorite crash onto this mountaineous area that made this town known to the outside world. Lots of strange lights are being seen over there and the folks there saw UFOs which are pretty common things in their backyards, it is located between the 26th and 28th parallels. Heard the military has setup a zone there since that meteorite crash, so u may have to find a way to sneak in if u are planning to fly there for a vacation trip to test your new camera.

For most people spotting a UFO is a once-in-a-lifetime event, if it happens at all.
I have seen UFOs two different times, once 30 years ago, and once again last year. I am very sure that if I kept a closer watch on the sky (who has the time in their normal daily life?) I would have seen more.
Sometimes it is reported that UFO sightings tend to be greater near areas that may interest them, such as nuclear missile silos or places where nuclear weapons are stored.
In general though, your best bet is to keep focused on the sky both day and night with your camera ready as much as you can. You may go years, or only days, until you see one - nobody can say. Yet, they are out there - and the more you keep searching the sky the better your chances will be.

There are "Hot Spots" all over the USA that are not specific to time. Years ago Area 51 in the Nevada dessert was such a place but not as much recently due to public awareness.
I have some footage of a crashed ufo in Russia from 1968 on VHS cassette or you may want to consult Blockbuster video and rent it for yourself? Its called UFO Files - secret KGB files narrated by Roger Moore (the old James Bond.) This show is FASCINATING and along with a "downed" spacecraft it shows an autopsy of an Alien torso!
Also, watch "Fire In The Sky" the Travis Walten Story. This show is based on TRUE evidence and shows in graphic detail what happens to a person who is "Abducted" by UFO's! (You thought going to the Dentist was bad!!)

Usually UFOs take very poor pictures.
They are always fuzzy and they move fast.
You will just have to keep looking around, with your camera ready.
Good luck!
