The criminal sees anybody in law enforcement or criminal justice as the AUTHORITY and they despise them.

I don't really know what the criminals impressions are as far as law enforcement but I do know mine. My e4x husband was arguing on the phone with his sister and the police shot and killed him through the window claiming he had a gun and was threatening them. When in fact it was on a phone yelling at his sister. So my view of them is not good they get away with murder

now days instead of acting as public servants they too often act as though they are above the citizen. Too often these days they act as enforcers for the system that preys on the public, by rather than warning or helping people citing them to get fines to keep the system going. when I was a kid cops would pull you over and tell you to cool it and they drove you home if need be. But generally acted as though they respected you and so you in turn respected them, now they bark out an order and you are forced to comply under penalty of force, as they are above the law and you are under it.

cops are taught to separate themselves from the public, and to think of us all as potential criminals. to them we are all criminals that haven't been busted yet.

unless of course you are rich.

Where there is smoke there is fire. I think there are many who do misuse their power.
