Climate is also an issue:
- cold can worsen pain
- cold increases utility costs
- snow severly impacts mobility, and
- heat can be dangerous
- air conditioning costs are high.

Crime impacts the disabled more so than the healthy:
- may not be able to flee an attacker
- or fight them off
- disabled are often seen as a good target
- does low income housing also me mean a high crime rate?
