The person who promises something n then changes afterwords/ what shoul we call him or her? Why people do that under what compulsions?

k that would be called a liar....someone who goes back on their word....i have no clue y ppl do that...it depends on the situation....i mean, maybe cuz they feel they have to, or they think that they mean it, or something...idk...
