Putting a battery in the fridge will do the opposite, just like a car battery if its left to longer in freezing weather it looses power.
Where as warmth will put a little charge in to it, for a limited time

No, it's basic chemistry. Heat speeds up chemical reactions, lack of heat slows them down. Since a dry cell battery is basically a chemical reactor, putting a battery in a fridge slows down the chemical reaction (generating electricity), but it does not reverse (i.e. charge the battery ) the process.

No. A little time in the oven may boost them for a bit, but take care if oven is too hot they can explode. Best off just buying new.

no way, cold saps the power from any battery, battery charger is the best way or even buying new 1s, ive heard rubbing them but think its just a myth and only possibily works when just running out

Freezing them will keep them charged but if you will put them in very hot tap water (do not boil) and they will recharge!! I do it all the time!! GOOD LUCK!!

no. you can get a little extra power by putting it in the oven for a short while, if i remember rightly. or just buy some new ones
