As far as are "you" ready for Vista, aside from your current computer. First, be aware that even though Vista has been in development for years now, there is always going to be bugs when software is released. Next is software support, many companies dont even have Vista compatible drivers yet. If you want to upgrade without the hassle I would wait at least a year to upgrade, but if your up to dealing with these challenges go for it...

to use windows vista's aero feature, your computer must have a standalone video card. From what i get from these tech magazines, aero doesnt like intergrated graphic cards
