Chief Minister of Tamilnadu is the person who is selected by the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) belonging to the party (or coalition parties) which is invited to form the government by the Governor of Tamilnadu.
Present CM is Dr. 'Kalaignar' M.Karunanidhi - (with one or two shadows in the chair alongwith him)
Past CM was Dr. 'Puratchi Thalaivi' Amma J Jayalathithaa - (with a big shadow in the chair alongwith her)

Dr Karunannithi current CM of Tamil Nadu.
He is an avid Tamil novelist, screen play writer and a skilled orator in Tamil. An experienced politician who has been in the political arena for the last 20 years. Was instrumental in ensuring Tamil doesn't get upstaged by other languages like English and Hindi. Ensured that Tamil will be taught in all schools. Ensured Tamil is accessible to the common man by his policies like - Tamil in district courts, temples can use Tamil during puja etc. Also was a pioneer in the rationalist movement in tamil nadu targeting religious superstitions
Although during his initial ruling periods (in 70sand 80s) he was known to be corrupt, during his later ruling periods he was instrumental in bringing lot of FDI to TN. He is an excellent administrator. In general he is better than his predecessor Jayalalitha when it comes to corruption.

Currently it is M.Karunanidhi. Let me teach you a math so that you dont have to ask the same question 3 years later. Every 5 years the government in TN changes between DMK (led by Dr. M.K) and ADMK (Dr.J.J).
Currently it's a DMK led government. Prior to this it was ADMK led by J.Jayalalitha. Before that it was DMK. Now do your math and predict who the future CM would be.. and no prizes for guessing it. If Dr.M.K lives long you might see him again in power 10 years from now.

Mr .M.Karunanithy is a tamilnadu chief minister. he born ed in thiruvarur. he is best writer & speeker in Tamil. his young age was cinema & drama. he was succesful writter in Tamil cinema & drama, Parasakthi was his best screen play in his career,( not his screen play only tamil great actor MR Sivaji Ganesan act very well in this movie this was also 60% SUCESS IN THAT MOVIE)
nighe times he elected M.L.A. still he IS succeses full .MLA. TAMILNADU ASSEMBLELY. HE DIDN'T FAILLITURE IN HIS M.L.A.SEAT sofar. he is fifth time chief minister in tamilnadu i think.
