LOST! Is Desmond god?

i wouldn't say he is God but i don't know it is definately interesting and intreguing! Can't wait till next Sunday it's getting soooo good!

Although i really hope Charlie doesn't die i think he's so sweet

First point lol is that last night's episode, where they were in London was so irritating! It was so clearly NOT London, or indeed any part of Britain - with all the funds they have, there is no excuse for not filming it on location, or a least on a decent set! I mean, among other things, they spelt Honour as Honor lol! Sorry, rant over...

Anyway, I don't think Desmond is God but for whatever reason he has this gift doesn't he - No doubt it will be like season 10 before we find out why he has it though. Fingers crossed Charlie doesn't die everyone - I really like him!

Was last nights episode not the most interesting episode so far.
I can't see desmond being God I personally think its more to do with the island and a power it has given him! the black lady got cured of cancer, lock can now walk and talk to the island and what about all of these mirages being shown to hurley, kate and jack in previous episodes! If all this is happening maybe the island has given desmond some special power to see into the future!

I dont know, maybe just psychic but now we know that Desmond gets off the Island dont we. I was a bit disappointed when we didnt get to see what was happening with Jack but then we got pulled into back on the Island and with Desmond and now I want to know whats going to happen there!.

I hope Charlie is ok, because I really like him, even though he can be a bit jealous when it comes to anyone with Claire.

twice Desmond has prevented someone from possibly dying because he knew what was going to happen ahead of time. which he could not do prior to the explosion, the latest episode shows that he's finding out that fate can be persistent.

its a program with characters telling a story made up by guys being paid to entertain those who tune in every wednesday night. so Desmond is not God.

great program though.. i'd say that the interest level has gone up a coupla pegs since this began with Des.

He can only change the future if he is there to prevent it ,like he said to Charlie death is still going to try and he is the one stopping it ,Its kind of tough on Desmond as it could be a thing that will happen every day asnd he is only one who knows what's going to kill charlie.

I doubt he is a god. His life may be caught in a loop, i.e. Groundhog Day w/ Bill Murry, and he is repeating everything till he gets it right. That would explain how he knows everything that he knows.
