I am planting agapanthus this spring and was thinking as useing them as a background to other flowers. What flower would look good there?

Agapanthus is tall and showy, dwarf zinnias, dahlias, New Guinnea impatiens, alyssum, lots of things, depending on the light or shade the area gets. You can stay with the same color group or use accents. Bet it will be beautiful!

A surprise hit in my garden was red leafed cannas either "Tropicanna' or "Australia" they look great next to Agapanthus especially the blue flowered varieties. Will be obviously too tall for the front of bed but great for rear.
