Prominent sector of activity in Egypt?

Hi Guys!

Besides tourism what are the main sector of activity in Egypt?

Shall I try to set up business in your country, what are your recommendations. I worked in the aerospace industry but I'm considering switching career perhaps in the service line. All your advise are welcome.

I feel home with you guys, never want to live you.

I know it is a long way different to areospace but some really good female hair stylists and colorists are needed.
Also fashion designers and stores to sell thier label.
Someone who could put out a range of clothing that was stylish,well cut and well finished and made of fabulous materials would certainly get my business.
I hope this news somehow filters through and something like the Stella McCartney budget line is intoduced to a depatment store.Its happening in Australia ,why not in Egypt.
Or better still Egyptian girls do your thing!
I get sick of looking at the same old outdated tatty stuff.
The only other choice is go way up market.Which I hate doing, as I know how they pay the people who make the label clothes and the conditions they work in.
Window dressers! That is another area with need for improvement. Have you noticed the store windows?
Just jam in as much as you can and slap some badly printed price tags on,that seems to be the way it is!
I love Egypt too.
But I can't say the same about the fashion.
I can't be the only one!

First of all you are most welcomed and we keep friends of Egypt in our hearts.
There are many fields for good business in Egypt, but as a professional in tourism, I recommend you Tourism or any related activity.
There are many good ideas, but in most of the cases you need an Egyptian faithful partner. Also take care competition is very high in many fields as the profits also high.
IT, beauty centres, clothes and many other things.
I can help you to understand many things about some fields that I know about, but I need to know what's the filed you are interested in.

since you worked in aerospace, i think you better apply in one of the private jets companies. (They try to convince the "nauvo-rich" egyptians to buy private jets! and they sell, comparatively, a lot) i had a friend who worked there and she made a lot of money.
