the Crucial Memory website has a system scanner that you can download, and it will identify size, type, etc. of the memory you have installed on your system. It will even give you suggestions on what to upgrade to, and how to purchase their memory. Although, crucial memory is expensive at times, its a good tool to see what you need to buy, then you can take a quick trip over to newegg.com and compare prices.

The website is here: http://www.crucial.com/index.asp
