After years of dull hitting, I've finally settled on a racquet (the Prince Original Graphite, Midsize). I've collected several of these classic racquets, but they don't all have the same paint job. I'd like to paint them all black, but am unsure how to go about doing this.

If possible, I'd like to apply a glossy black to my racquets! Thanks for any advice!

A couple of thoughts about racquet painting from my experience with painting a racquet of mine. First, I used masking tape to make the design on mine and it worked fine. Second, I used auto spray paint and a clear coat lacquer for finishing. Looked great until I took it to have it restrung and the clamps really tore up my beautiful new paint job. Anyway, if there is a really tough hard type of paint, I would suggest using that. Lacquer perhaps. The really tough part is surface prep and removing the old paint. I cut out the strings and removed the grommet before starting to sand down the racquet. Overall though, I was happy with the results and will probably try it again.

Larger frames are usually for young players or players without much experience. For reference over 100 is pretty large, like 105 or 110 sizes. Anything under 100 is about the right size for an intermediate to advanced player. Most pros use 95. A larger frame size just means a larger sweet spot for beginners to work with, if you don't need that, you can go for a smaller frame, and get more accuracy and/or power on your shots.

Dana D's got it dialed. Just be careful how much paint and clear coat you apply. If you're not careful, you can easily add 10-15% more weight to your rackets in paint.

Using some form of heat to cure the paint application will help create a stronger bond and harden the surface.
