Not personally. But he is a multi personality a great poet, revolutionist, freedom fighter, etc. Even Gandhiji recognised him as a great man but Bharathiar had a short life. Our fate.

yes. his native place is tanjore. and he lived in chennai also. he wrote barathiar songs. he is a freedom fighter. moreover he is a brahmin.In his last days he died because of a elephant.
