Top loaders use more water and are rougher on your clothes. Front loaders use less detergent, less water, wash larger loads and are more gentle on your clothes. I have a new front loader and it is wonderful. Definately the front loader.

Top Loading : Clothes can be loaded into the Machine by opening a Top Lid .

Front Loading : The Lid is a Air Tight Lid from the front .

The Top Loading is better because you can pour water from the top while the machine is running. For Front loading Machines the water has to go in only when the front Lid is closed.

God help us when we have water stored in buckets but have none in a tap..

All the best.

Front loading machines are normally fully automatic and has more powerful motors. These follow the tumble wash method and has built in heater to heat the water, that is used. These front loading machines, are also more expensive . Companies like IFB. LG, Samsung, have front loading machines. The top loading machines, are lighter and less expensive , but the wash quality is also not as good as the tumble wash principle.

well the names suggest the meaning.
top loading washing we pur clothes, water etc from top.most of the machines are like this.
in front loading machines we put clothes from front side.only few companies like IFB manufactres this.
the only problem with front loading is that you have to put clothes, water, detergent etc and then close the lid.you cant keep it open and run the machine as water will spill out
while in top loading machines you can do it either way with lid open or close
