Is there a way to tell if your potential wife or husband will cheat on you before you marry them?

I see so much divorce, I just want a good lady, who will love me and be kind to me, but sometimes it seems so impossible with so many cheating.

Does anyone know a way to tell? I really need to know, thanks!

Just by the way you discribe your 'dream lady' I can tell your going to find a good woman. My parents divorce last summer because my dad cheated on my mom and messed her up. Drugs, sex, and stealing large amount of money, were some of the things he did. I wish you good luck

You can't. The events, the stressors everything that may lead up to a falling out has not happened yet.

The really serious concern is the absolute lack of trust you have for your partner - and it sounds like you haven't even met her yet! You have to be able to trust them - not wait around anxiously until they break yout heart.

If there's no trust - if you are really paranoid about even the remote possiblity of cheating - then there is no love. And that will drive someone to cheat. Doesn't mean that they are right in doing it - but if you continually believe and think this way it will eventually make they feel like they are already doing it. It will make the relationship fail faster then anything.

Previous marriage & divorce, history of 'living together' without marriage, and any history of 'cheating' on previous partners (married or not) all suggest a weak sense of commitment. While you don't want a partner who is 'clingy' or controlling, any woman who seems too willing to give you a long leash may be hoping for the same laxity in return.

But the short answer is, you can never know for sure, one way or another. People are just too complex and inconsistent.

It's funny, I took my wife out on our first date while she was living with some guy, gave her a couch to sleep on (no strings attached) so she could move out, and ended up marrying her.

Yet, something about her has never caused me to think that her cheating on me is even a remote possibility. I'm not stupid; I've had girlfriends that left me with room for doubt, but not my wife. Maybe it's just something you know about a person without proof. And maybe, in part, it's how you treat them.

There is no real way to know. If you don't trust the person you're with, then you probably shouldnt be with them.

Cheating is unlikely to happen prior to marriage. However, for a marriage to work, it takes hard work. Many took their spouses for granted and that is the reason for the high divorce rates worldwide. People's needs to change with time thus its always good to be on the alert in a marraige.

There is no way to tell.

But you should pay close attention while dating, like if you notice him/her are flirty and talk alot to the opposite sex at work or right in front of you when you're in a group talking with others, I'd say those are really tell tale signs

You can't. You don't even know that you won't cheat on her.

If it help at all, most divorces aren't the result of cheating, and most cheating doesn't lead to a divorce.

There's no real way to tell. If they cheated on you before you were married, they'll probably cheat afterwards. If they're a serial cheater and they don't see anything wrong with it, you can bet they'll cheat on you.
