My advice to you is to talk to another Priest, one that knows that the Bible is not a book that can be taken literally, word for word. The original text and what you read today are not the same thing, so don't expect to find all the answers in it. One can believe in science and religion if one chooses to, it's not that difficult. If you are going to believe in Religion simply because it is "easier" try explaining the things that the bible condoned, like stoning children for misbehaving.
Personally, I take the Science approach more seriously and would prefer to believe in Zeus than your "God", I find him much more interesting. Perhaps you can take the Mythological approach on your exam and say we were created by a group of gods?
P.S. If you don't believe in Science, how can you possibly be a "science person"? Better you should be both, if you really are a 14 year old boy confused, you should talk to a church that accepts both concepts (just don't go alone...Priests, teenagers, shudder...)

All you have to do is look at science and know that there is a God. God made us, so why are the details about how He made us so important? Logically, Adam and Eve would have had to have been as primitive as they come. The Bible doesn't go into specific detail about HOW God made us because its not important.
Which do you think God would have you do? Fret over how you were created or help people who are suffering?

Science and faith in God are not incompatible. But you won't be able to study science if you always choose "the easy way." Science is pretty complicated and detailed. And there are no reliable studies that show that prayer heals people.
When I was young, my Mom said to me, "No one knows how long God's day is..." meaning his day could be a billion years long. So sure, he could have created the world in 6 days, give or take a few million years, I mean hours.

A test are answers from the book or the lecture. Answers from another book wouldn't cut it. You need to tell your teachers your feelings so you don't fail this section and still have your beliefs. Find a field of science that wouldn't blurry up your vision of what you believe. The beginning of man as nothing to do with AIDS itself. Pray, study, GO FOR IT!

Thomas, you already asked this question. except you were a 64 year old cute boy when you asked it (or so you said)
Was this the question that you asked, and then selected my answer as the best answer? or is this a different one?
By the way I tightened up my bolts, they were gettin a little loose. I cant thank you enough for the advice.
your pic is awesome.
Praise Jesus
Addition: I have noticed alot of people that answer questions in the religion and spirituality section say "God's days are so long," or "God is so old that days go by faster for him." sorry for being blunt, but these things are wrong. God doesn't have days, He is outside of time, and has always existed. creation was made in Six Earth Days. God doesn't have days. He is outside of time.

Ok. First of all, thing about this.
When you die or get to heaven, will it be a good enough excuse to say to God 'Well, I know that you made the world, but my science teacher said I should write down the rubbish that I know is false to get a good mark 'cause that might help me to be a scientist";
or do you think it might be a better idea to do what you think God wants because if he made people, do you honestly think that he can't make you what you're meant to be?

Go ahead and believe what your science teacher is saying, but keep an open mind since science is going to changed drastically over next 50 years

No one here is wise enough to give you the answers to the questions you seek.
Right now you are understandably a bit confused and unsure about all of the contradiction your mind is absorbing and what to believe or not to believe.
You are not too far away from being able to make up your own mind in what to believe about Religion vs. Science.
Listen to your teachers...all of them...hear what they have to say and very soon you will be able to make up your own mind and in your own mind, you will know that which you will perceive to be the "truth".

your teacher might have told this in a casual hour. I beleave that he is teaching science in all the time. in a casual talk he may have expressed his opinion. don't stick to one side of preaching look other things that he teaches. you take from him what you want to become science person ignore other things
