Prophesies through the ages have depended on vagueness. And astrology is no different. If a horoscope says, "you will have a new experience, make the best of it," well what day don't you have a new experience? Would it be good advice to make the worst of it?

Perhaps because they see the stars from different angles, so they get confused. Some are just wrong, some are right, and authors of astrology books are just plain mixed up; I know what you mean; I read one book that said my best match was a Capricorn (but I think Capricorns are hot), then another saying Scorpio and Pisces, another saying to avoid Scorpios and Pisceans, etc. So, basically, I don't know, either. Maybe...the astrologers put their own biased opinions into it, so it gets mixed up?

there is a lot of agreement among astrologers, and the things they don't agree on they argue about for a while, and eventually come to some agreement. It is not all precise, but there is some truths in there.

Religions have the same issue, most of the time.
