in general i would have to say no...i dont even think kurt angle can since most of the top guys are pretty well versed in brazilian jujitsu and kurt angle is strictly a traditional wrestler..and i dont think any of those "punches" thrown in the wrestling ring would count as striking in the octagon

Bobby Lashley is the most competent at real wrestling I can think of after Kurt Angle. Kind of a shame that we never got to see a Angle vs Lashley match before Angle left the WWE. The problem is that UFC is not wrestling, its mixed martial arts. That is a different matter in its entirety. Its the difference between Football and Rugby. Very similar and yet worlds apart. I know some who can easily adapt from one to the other, but its a relative ease.

Kurt Angle is training in some MMA and is negotiating with UFC right now. He wants at least 6 months to train. Bill Goldburg has MMA training and has opened an MMA school. He is probably too old now to seriously think about competing. Don't discount the guys who can "really" wrestle. Josh Koscheck was only an amateur wrestler (very little MMA skills) when he started on the Ultimate Fighter show. He is a very skilled fighter now.

Uhh, Brock Lesnar is in something like that. NJPW I think. Also, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, and Bobby Lashley would be able to compete in those kind of wrestling matches.
