I believe that magic is real, although the mechanism is poorly understood. I've seen spells done by myself and others work quite well. The results might have been coincidence, but who really knows?

Even if it doesn't actually "work", magic can also be a useful psychological tool -- a kind of "theatre of the mind" that lets the practitioner act out certain mental states. For example, doing a spell for courage can actually increase your own courage, or doing a spell for healing can lead to a reduction of stress that makes healing more likely.

Myself, I'm a Wiccan, and I practice witchcraft, which is one form of magic (the other form that I'm somewhat familiar with is Ceremonial magic, but that's a whole different topic of discussion).

Witchcraft 101 would go something like this, at least as I was taught: All things in the universe are interconnected by energy, which some witches (including Wiccans) perceive as Divine in nature. This is how witchcraft works: by focussing my intent, and using sympathetic correspondances (certain herbs for courage, for example), I can create an amulet using those herbs which will stimulate courage in the person who wears it. Similarly, by using a lock of hair from a person who is ill, I can (with their permission) set energies in motion that will help them to heal.

Witchcraft is not a game, or a toy. It is a serious process of setting energies in motion, some of them quite large. And if you're not careful, the backlash can be very nasty.

Say, for example, you do a spell to get $2000 to pay a bill, but do not specify "with harm to none" or any other conditions. You might end up getting that $2000 dollars -- because you slipped on some ice, broke your arm, and are getting an insurance settlement worth $2000. Each spell has to be carefully thought out and prepared, and executed with focus, or else nothing at all is going to happen.

Witchcraft is not something you learn how to do overnight. It's a process of becoming attuned to yourself and the universe around you. One of the first lessons any Wiccan is taught is: "Know thyself." This isn't easy, and often it isn't pretty, but it IS necessary.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me. I wish you the best of luck on your path, wherever it may take you.

Magick (with K) and spells are very real. Yes, you can learn magic and cast spells. There are two ways to do so, one of which is through religions such as Wicca (among many others), and the second will be magic schools, (not the Harry Potter type of school because that doesn't exist).

I practice Wicca, which is a religion that embraces magick and we are very strict about never using magick to impose our will on others. Since you are a seem to be a Christian, you may want to explore Christian Wiccan websites and learn a little more about them, or visit http://www.witchvox.com and seek for a Pagan/Wiccan group near you that you can visit, find websites that can help you understand and teaches you the proper use of magick as well as, or if you wish, find someone who can teach you about magic online.

Also check the websites that other persons give you here in this forum, and if you still have any questions, or need help to understand magic or if you wish to learn more Wicca or any other Pagan religion, feel free to contact me.

Spells and Magick are quite real... Magic spelt like this is tricks and the type of stuff you see at a magician's show.. Magick or Magik is different ..... Don't let the religious people who know nothing sway you here.... Magick in the form of Spell-work is nothing more than a manipulation of certain energies ..... To bring about a desired outcome ... A bit like a wish or a prayer , but some of us employ the "Old Ways" and we "do a spell ".. What I have said is extremely basic....

When i was a teen, I tried to get involved in magical arts (as opposed to magic tricks, etc.) and spent a long time playing with it.

I have come to discover and believe that there is NOTHING to it other than the sheer faith of a handful of people. For some, it is almost a religious thing- you are not allowed to question its reality or effectiveness- they BELIEVE it works, and that is that.

It does not take long to discover, however, that it really does not affect the real world in any measureable way.

I believe magic is real. There are so many stories about magic, there must be a grain of truth in them. It's all about keeping an open mind. Some people refuse to believe in stuff like magic and aliens, but who gave them the right to deny these creatures existence?

There is but one reality and that is of nature. Any magic or spell has a natural cause. Many play with our susceptibilities to be fooled. Sometimes we like being fooled and that is why a good magician can make good money.

God bless you too friend

Magic is quite real. I make my living casting spells for people and I have many repeat customers. They wouldn't come back, nor would they bring me others, if I didn't get results.

"Sticks and Clicks Picks and Mix Take me to the house of Six- Magic words supply the fix .... As I read these words I beg the heavens and beg the spirits to take notice of me now. As I read these words out loud or silent you DEMAND the spirits to hear my name and do this thing. The spirits know me and they will obey - You know my name know turn and obey - the spirits are real and they will obey. Magic thoughts turn to magic words - magic thoughts turn to magic words - magic thoughts turn to magic words. magic is all trickery so nothing is real in magic like the vanishing toothpick trick, (it even has the word trick in it) but like the magician criss angel some tricks are so amazing they seem real! but tricks are still there hiding.
