Were gonna need to de-link healthcare and employment period. The reason to de-link healthcare tied to employment is make labor market more flexible, and people just keep jobs there not productive at really just to have healthcare insurance. Also, there people making over $100,000 a year not paying for no healthcare, but when they get hurt the people that have health insurance get stuck with the tab. Its complex problem, and the goverment will probadly have to make the rules for the insurance companies more clear and concise. Insurance companies now, cherry pick for younger people with no health problems because they cost less and help bottom line. The goverment run systems are not perfect, but the American system is inefficent and 80% of healthcare dollars go toward the last 2 years of a persons life. Bi-partisan deal on healthcare will be best for all Americans in the long run. Universal coverage is not a bad idea economic wise, but NHS in Britian is not good healthcare system same with American system now. Let healthcare experts, business, labor, goverment work together for a solution that board sectors of the population will agree to abide by. In the end the link between healthcare and employment.
