Is it true? Or is just cliche? Is it annoying?

I asked this because the Filipino community here seems to have controversy over it. I myself am part French, so that is why I was asking. Thank you for your mature comments.

I think this is true. I know many Filipinos who have a bit of Spanish blood. I also know many Filipinos who have a bit of Chinese blood because their parents married Spaniards or Chinese, etc. I think it is not only a cliche it is true. I think it is not annoying because it is a natural thing not only to Filipinos but also to many people of different races. I think because of intermarriages between races many people have improved features. The mingling of different races have created some of the most beautiful faces and physical attributes in many people. I think it is a blessing in most cases. Many people have dual citizenships because they have parents of different races. I think it is a good thing.

study some historic previous books. the Philipines grow to be conquered and inhabited through the Spanish a useless ringer for international locations in South and imperative u . s . of america ( ever be conscious what number Filipinos have Spanish sounding names the following yet nowhere else in Asia?). The impaction the indiginous inhabitants grow to be an similar. That being suggested, one after I tell people i'm Spanish, they say "oh your kinfolk is from Mexico" apparently dissimilar people have not heard that no longer anybody named Garcia, Gonzalez and Rodriguez are from Mexico. Wait till the first time you get requested to translate for a Spanish speaker and also you tell them you do not communicate Spanish. second, I actually were gaining knowledge of my very last call (my mom and father, grandparents...all got here the following from Spain). i realized that, at the same time as there are decrease than 20 people in Spain with an similar call (maximum who i understand are my uncle and cousins because they are interior of an similar village) there are 1000's with my very last call in the Philipines so, i wager i am going to faster or later be explaining to a Filipino why i don't understand any Tagalot.!

Based on our textbook in High School. Filipino is a mixed blood of many races., Chinese, Malay, Indons, *******, Spanish. Indians and even Americans.
What so annoying about it, almost all races on the world a mixed of one another.

I am 100% Filipina, but it's in our history (something over which we didn't have control) to have some American, Spanish, Chinese, Malay blood. Why should a fact of life like that annoy you?

It's a global village, many races intermarry. I doubt whether anyone right now is of "pure" blood. Grow up!

Spanish. I was always wondering why my surname (I'm Puerto Rican) is a common sur name in the Phlipeans, until I read up a little on the Filipino history.
