u meet someone and u really like them and u ask are u married and they say no, so u belive them, no rings no sings of marriage and then out of the blue u find out that they are married. why not be honest from the start?

Cause many of them just want to get into your pants and if you know they are married you might not be as inclined to sleep with them.
The biological urge to mate with as many women as possible is stronger than the social urge to tell the truth.

The only reason I can think of that anyone, man or woman, would lie about being married is because they want to get in someone else's pants.
