Absolutely unbelievable. I don't, for a minute, believe the Democrats are trying to do anything to stop the war. I think it is all show and tell. BUT, when you read the article linked above, it really doesn't matter. It shows beyond any doubt that Bush and his party members in Congress and the Senate don't give a damn what the people want.

I think it is a sad state of affairs when our government out and out turns against us.

What do you think? Is this treason on their part or not? We the people clearly want out of war, wherever it may be, and Bush and his people DO NOT CARE WHAT WE WANT.

Something has got to be done about these people.

Bush isn't the only President that hasn't supported what the people want. I am not for Bush, but I am also not biased either. Politicans are almost always out for themselves, they do whatever will:

a) Make the money
b) Make them popular
c) Get them votes for next term.

In Bush's case, he doesn't care anymore because he won't get re-elected so he has nothing to lose by doing what he wants, thinks is best.

It is clear that Bush DID listen to the People. That is why we are not taking payment in oil for modernizing Iraq as other nations are. The People marched in the streets and insisted, "No War for Oil", that they preferred to pay out of their own pockets, and Bush listened.

However, as Americans insist on securing our southern border, Congress is not making it happen. That is about the greatest threat our nation faces.
