it was a previous sun that blew like a hydrogen bomb and they became unstable when old and they burn up their hydrogen and convert it to heavy elements because its gravity that squeezes the hydrogen together until it forms helium and releases a lot of energy like heat and light so after a while they blow up and spread their heavy dust through space to build planets. our sun is one of trillions of stars that go around the milky way Galaxy like a raindrop in a hurricane and the milky way is one of trillions of Galaxy's in the known universe!

The debris from an exploding massive star crashed into the local hydrogen field initiating the evolution of the solar system.
It exhausted all it's fuel and couldn't maintain itself as a star any longer so it exploded.

It didn't blow, it is left over crap from the big bang, and one blob formed our solar system, the center and largest mass became the sun, the crap closest to it became planets and moons and asteroids.
