I believe there are a lot of good people in our government. I also understand that Leftists, who cling to an ideology hostile to America's principles, have gained dominance in many areas of our government.
Never trust Leftists with political power. They do not believe in "Rights".

I vote. Government-R-us. Yes, I trust me. (not so sure about a lot of those other folks)
My candidate may not win any particular election, and his/her position on any particular issue is supposed to be representative of constituency preference and best interest, whether it's my position or not, and the position may or may not be the 'winning' one.
Our US Constitution gave me and all Americans oversight, AND the Right and Responsibility of cyclical revolt at the polls.

I think that our government is run by fallible people who make more mistakes than they should. I am glad that we can trade out a few of them for new ones, in the hope that it will be different and possibly, better.

You are the government. By the people for the people. I wonder if you trust yourself. I wonder if you know who your representatives are to your state and to the U.S. congress.

I trust it about as far as I can throw it, as they say.
I'm surprised how many people --when answering this question-- fail to make the important distinction between our country and the current administration. It's possible to love your country while strongly disagreeing with the way it's conducting itself.

I trust the next US government (Shall be wiser).
The current one has grossly disappointed the world, except Israel.
