If my friends have any problems is there a way i can help them and still not have to take on the problem???

nearly all my friends have problems and most trust me but i have a problem and that is how can i help them when they dont want to tell me everything... they will tell me most thins but not the info that i need to help them and than when i cant help them they get all pissed off at me

what do i do???

Just tell them if you can't trust me with all the details, then don't ask me to help you
