Was it just the informal taps, or actually laying down? Did they make you just wear your undies (LOL)?

I remember they did birthday spankings back when I was real young in elementary school...I was always so happy that my birthday was in the summer when school would be out so I'd never have a spanking :)
and also I wouldn't have to bring treats, I mean, who thought of this ....its your birthday but you have to bring treats for the whole class and then they spank you!!!!

My last birthday, I was at a restaurant,
And the server girl brought out the paddle!!!
It was like a 2 X 4,
And she wailed on me HARD!!!
About 6 or 7 times!!!
