I have a pet rabbit, and well she is kinda hard to catch around the yard, how fast can they run?

From the site that the person above me posted, the average speed is about 35 miles per hour (or 16 meters per second). Think about 16 miles per second... seriously.
Their speed will depend on whether they're being pursued or not. Mine play hide and seek with me, and will not run at their full speed because they know I cannot catch them if they run 35 mph. However, a rabbit in the wild fearing for its life can run close to 45 mph. Speed is the only thing they have going for them since they can't fight back i they're being attacked!

As a professional B.H.R. (bunny, hair, rabbit) catcher i have seen many things in the line of duty. Eating pretty flowers, pooping everywhere, and evading capture. This despicable behavior is only the beginning. These Wraskely Wrabits can reach speeds of up to 18 miles per hour, on an empty stomach. Luckily i can run at 19 miles per hour, so the varmints are no match for my superior quicknessability.

i walked to work the other day and i saw one jumping infront of me.He was zig zagging from one side of the street to the other.He kept the same distance away from me and did this for a long time.I dont think he was putting much effort into it.

very fast. Mine can hop very high too. she is a dwarf and can hop from the floor to my bed
