It really was an attack. The first attempt was made in 1993 with a truck bomb designed by Ramzi Yousef, who fled back to Iraq with his Iraqi Passport. His uncle, Khaleid Sheikh Mohammed, orchestrated the second attempt, which succeeded.

Ramzi Yousef apparently also taught Terry Nichols how to make the truck bomb for the Oklahoma City bombing.

It was an attack by a group of radical Muslim extremists... Period...

I find it funny, people like ed-mike and others think President Bush is an imbecile and yet they also claim he was able to plan, create, cover up, misdirect, plant evidence, create thousands of independent witnesses and carry out the most intricate plot in world history and get away with it. AND all in little over a year of taking office!

I guess no one thinks about 1993 wtc bombing, USS Cole, the embassy bombings etc... All terrorist acts committed by the same group responsible for 9/11. Because if they did they would have to say that they happened during Clinton’s admn, and no one can bear to think anything bad happened under his watch (like the collapse of the economy and the striping of our military that made it weak).

Really people I have heard every thing from bombs in wtc 7, to "they pre cut the beams to fit on truck to be taken away" (How do you thing the steel beams got there during the original construction? A foundry in the basement? Or by truck? Hmmm...), to "A Vietnam era plane with a drone brain fired a missile at the pentagon" (which no one in a military city like Arlington Virginia would notice? How many Vietnam era planes do you see flying around on a daily basis? I am not in the military but I know the difference in modern and non modern aircraft) and so on and so on...

If anything it was a failure of the intelligence community and if any one is to blame for the events of 9/11 it's the people who failed to act (which may or may not include Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2 the heads of the CIA, FBI and NSA.).

Was it planned by the gov? No.

Was it really an attack? Yes.

My friend, download www.loosechange.com. Get the inside scoop about how our constitutional rights are being robbed from us. And dont think for a minute , when the presidential elections rolls around, that there wont being any rigged votes and dont think that the twisted power structure in place is going to go away. It wont. Weather is democratic/republica/ green party, o, i am sorry, the first two are the only forms that you can actually have, we the people? read about, umm, chemtrailing or something. You know, the things that effect your life the most but that you will never hear on mainstream or any media. Or howabout the use of electromagnetic weapons, now that is one of the more cooler/sadistic components of population control. This all alien to you, well, i guess the government has done its job.

It was definitely an attack by Al Qaeda, but apparently the government new about it in advance. They had received some terrorist radio transmissions regarding plans for the attack, but did nothing about it.

i dont know if the attack were planned by the government but when the building came crushing down, its really suspicious if there were bombs set up in the building to bring down the building..... cmon those towers are made to withstand a collision by commercial planes..

There are a lot of different theories... I personally believe it was planned by Cheney and Rumsfeld.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a planned attack that Bush and the administration planned. I DON'T trust the U.S. Government and anyone who does is an idiot!

9/11 was an attack by Al Qaeda who even admitted it and not the US government as alleged by theorists without evidence but all presumptions.
