Our school is doing it, but i am unfamiliar.
Could someone explain the male roles to me

Fredrick is the "main male" role but i think the most fun character to play is the pirate king.... the major general has a fun song to sing but the villan is always the most fun.. aka the pirate king! thet major general has many daughters he's an older gentleman but pretty funny... also you have some secondary roles like the "police chief" im not sure what his name is, but very goofy part... then there are the other policemen... and the pirates...also to understand more you can rent the movie..i forget who plays fredrick but the lead female role is played by linda ronstadt also angela landsbury plays ruth fredricks maid! hope that helps

The main roles are: Major-General Stanley, The Pirate King, Samuel, Frederick and the Seargent of Police. There's also some more minor roles and chorus.
