For the same reason that I do not watch 'Happy Days' - most sitcoms are dull exercises in carefully scripted comedy. I prefer to learn when I watch TV (PBS, History Channel, A&E), so shows like 'That 70s Show' really have very little to offer me.These shows target people who were not alive at that time, and do not want too much factual information. I was alive in the 1970s, and this show is really a safe, bland whitewash of how many people lived. I recommend the movie 'The Virgin Suicides'
instead.

At first I did NOT. I'm black, and that show is in NO WAY true about life in the 70's. Not MY 70's.
When I got over myself, I liked the show. They were successful in capturing the style, dress, music, and language of the 70's. The characters were likeable and funny. I totally loved the dance scenes, which were many. Overall, I'd give the show a B++

I can pinpoint the exact time I started hating it. As soon as Donna decided to become a blonde the show went downhill. It just became the same basement jokes, no originality. Like other shows they would rather milk it to the end instead of ending at a good point.

It's a little cliche in some ways, but I like the show. Sometimes the acting sucks.

I probably shouldn't answer this as I like the show but rarely watch it. I think they nailed alot of the feel/dress/language for that time. I enjoy the nostalgia as I grew up then. Good times.

I used to really like it because it reminded me of those days, now it's boring, and if there's nothing else on, I still won't watch it. I don't hate it, it's just that those kids and the stories don't evolve into very much.
