Does your Laptop have CD Writer?it might have CD Player but not CD Writer, if it does, just install NERO software to support it, if you dont have you can buy Internal/external CD Writer for the purpose. Thats It!! The choice depend with what u want to Burn, DVD Writer can Burn, Files, Photos, Music, VCD and DVD, but CD Writer DVD Player can onlyBurn Files, Music, Photos BUT Not DVD still can Play DVD so what u wanna do?
Your may use any brand no matter what and many of the CD Hardware are Plug and Play as longer as you run window XP.
