I am a Mommy, and I feed my baby home made meals only. I guess she has been a little spoiled by my cooking, because if I am ever out and try to give her some snack that isn't homemade, she doesn't like it.

Well, I am a mom (that is what we call mummies in the USA) and if I had it to do all over again I would feed my baby homemade food. Why? Because you know EXACTLY what he or she is getting. When you buy commercial you buy all of the preservatives and additves and you never know ALL of what is going into your baby. You have enough to worry about as a new mother. . . . .you should make your own. I had a friend who made her own and would freeze it in her ice trays so she could pop out a couple of cubes and thaw them out and could make up a bunch at a time (provided you have the freezer space)

Hi! I am a Mummy to 4 kids~
~I feed my baby homemade food- he eats mostly what we eat.
When he was 4 months old, I started giving him "commercial" baby cereal / pablum. Always the Milupa brand. At 6 months, he started baby food fruits, veggies, meats and custard. Then at 7 months, he started eating what we would eat. The baby foods he mostly ate then, was fruit. All veggies, pasta and meats were homemade. He LOVED whipped potatoes! Yams also!
~For snacks, commercial baby cookies and crackers.
~â¥~He is now 13months old, and eats A L L homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner! Snacks, well, he eats commercial toddler foods, like Areoroot Cookies, Gerber Snacks and Yogurt tubes!~â¥~
Commercial Baby Food is somewhat of a gimmick. It is quite simple to make your own baby food with a food processor or a blender. Commercial baby food is just more handy, and less work.
I hope I helped you somewhat! Good luck on your project!
~cheers~

i give my kid homemade food.
because of all the advice that comes on various sites that homemade food is the best. Besides later on it will help in developing good eating habits
but comercial food comes in handy while travelling or during illness of the child

my daughter is 21 months old. about 7-8 months ago, i stopped feeding her 'baby' food and began to feed her whatever i ate on a regular basis. but before that, it was mostly gerber and other 'baby' food, mainly because i wasnt eating very healthy, and also she didnt really have a lot of teeth. when she got some molars is when i decided she could start eating meats and other foods that were a litte more difficult to chew. now she eats everything my husband and i eat. her favorite thing to eat is fruit, specifically strawberries (its so cute, she calls them shawbrees).
