First of all there are only 7 cars on the market today that will do 200mph plus and they start at about $450,000.00
The fastest 4 banger is the Honda S2000 with a top speed of 156mph. If you really want to go faster then 129 you could get Comptech headers, exhaust and cold air intake which will make you faster then all stock civics and Comptech is factory approved by Honda and will not void all your warranties. Comptech also offers a Supercharger for about $5,000 that will give you about 100 more horse. This is all street legal and will still pass smog. Good Luck

Screw the honda, sell it immediately and go buy a mid 90's bmw M5 or M6.
My (non-M) '93 bmw 525i hits 170 with no problems, and it's bone stock weighing in at 3800 pounds with 245,000 (yes thousand) miles on it.
An M5 will hit 180 non modified, and 210 fully modded.
see http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/M/M5Sedan/techdata.htm
According to the tech sheet (which uses *very* conservative numbers) the top speed is electronically limited at 155.
The guy who posted below me hasn't got a clue.
An m5 right now runs around 82,500 and an m6 starts at 98,600.
go over to your local dealership and check out the speedometers if you don't believe me. You can always use a new ECU chip (ie, jim conforti racing) to strip out any governing software and run the air/fuel ratio to optimum mix. the only downside is that to get 200+ MPH you need use 98 octane or better fuel. Also known as race gas, and really only found in major metropolitan areas. Ie, south florida, L.A., Houston, etc.
But if you want to seriously race, do it on a track, cuz street racing is lame (and for kids that have never had a $70,000 car impounded and auctioned).

a honda civic is a nice daily driver but if you won't that car to go fast like the ones in the movies you have no idea what you are getting into. i had a friend that wanted to do the same think with a 01 civic and after he put about $18000 in his car i took my 98 mustang gt that had about $2000 worth of work done to it and beat him by almost 2 car lengths in 1/4 mile. if you want to go fast then get you a v8

Look, I know more about lip gloss than cars.....however, PLEASE don't be one of those 2 fast 2 furious retards that only upgrades their exhaust. I live in socal and people around here are so stupid! People that only do the exhaust, and put a cheap body kit on their car are rediculous....and I'm a girl!!!! So, whatever you do, please start under your hood and leave the asthetics for last.
