Bridge to Terabithia, Harry Potter, Eragon, Eldest, The Series of Unfortunate Events, The Tale of Desperaux, All American Girl, American Girl Series, any Meg Cabot books that aren't too inappropriate are good, Dragon Rider, Inkheart, Inkspell, The Navigator, Ella Enchanted, The Fairest, The Wish, The Fairy's Mistake
Those are all very good bestsellers, maybe she has read them, but they are really good books. I don't know her taste in books, so I've pretty much laid down all the best books for preteens. I hope I've helped!

Meg Cabot the author of the Princess Dairies writes a lot of books for girls around that age. The Princess Dairies has a series of books, which haven't been made into a movie. She also has a lot of other books for girls around that age. Gail Carson Levine also writes a lot of books for eleven year olds. I use to love Ella Enchanted(I read the book in 5th grade and it was really good but movie was really bad. The book was very different from the movie.) Another one of her book The Two Princesses of Bamarre was also very nice.

Well, you just can't pick so random book. First you must find the genre that she is into...Don't get a "Little Princess" a book about dungeons and dragons....So if you see what type most of her books are, than you have a better chance of getting something she won't hate....
I would get her "Howl's Moving Castle" It's a bit like the movie, and it's cute, so I'm sure she will love it..
-wish you luck
