sounds like sciatica. Because you are home alone I would not go into a bath to soak. Instead lay on the floor with two pillows under your legs with the knees bent slightly. Try about 15 minute but it may take longer for the nerve to stop throbbing.
Tylenol may help a tiny bit.
There are risk with a heating pad. But on low for 10 minutes can help. But no longer. Or the same 10 with a ice pack.
If you have a birthing ball you need to use it for a few weeks. If you do not have one I would look into it. They help with getting into shape after you have the baby. And when your feeding the baby you can sit on it and it helps your core muscles.
Good luck hun I am sorry your hurting with no one home.

I was 23 when I started having really bad chest pain out of the blue. I was scared that it could be all sorts of awful things - a heart murmur (my mom has one), angina/heart problems, some sort of weird infection, etc. After 3 or so hours of medical tests at the health center at my grad school, the verdict was.... Acid Reflux! Funny thing was, I had never had it before, never even had heartburn, and it wasn't triggered by any particular food - it just came and went as it pleased, being bad one moment, and gone the next. After a few months on Zantac and Gaviscon, I weaned myself off and low and behold, the acid reflux/chest pain was gone! In the end the doctor told me that it must have been brought on by some sort of virus. Before you even go see a doctor, try some of the heartburn chewable pills at the drugstore, like Gaviscon or something. It might help. But if it keeps bothering you, and definitely if it gets worse, go see a doctor.

Dont' need pain killers, sounds like labor. Back labor. Keep an eye on things and if it gets worse call someone to come take you to the hospital. I had back labor with my son and it felt like someone was trying to pull my spine out at the base. I'm a mom to 3. You shouldn't be alone at night this close to delivery.

There is a chance it is back labour.. How long has it been happening? I am 38 weeks pregnant and been getting false labour coming and going for a week now and it is accompanied by a backache.. If the pains are regular and un-bareable you should maybe contact your local labour ward or your caregiver. If it isn't labour a doctor maybe able to prescribe you something to help with the pain or help you sleep better.. Good luck!! Xx

Have you called your doctor? Whenever you experience any pain of this sort when pregnant you should call your doctor to make sure everything is OK. He also can probably give you something for the pain. If you have no doctor, try a hospital emergency room. County hospitals which are supported by taxpayer funds frequently treat needy patients for free, or on a sliding scale if your funds are limited.

You may very well be in labor. My SIL had nothing but severe throbbing back pain until she was almost fully dilated. If the pain is constant, or at least a very few minutes apart- call your doctor!! It may be very important to let him know. He may be better able to let you know if it is onset of labor, or just the baby knocking the s*** out of you! Do it now!

If the back pain due to pregnancy, it is normal. it means you need to make your back, spine, abdomen and upper chest, include upper back and shoulder strong. Go to pilates or yoga studio, do swimming, and try to spend time to sit in incline bench and get your spine straight. If you do really go to yoga or pilates studio, ask the instructor to give you standing twisting and cobra. It is safe for pregnancy. It might hurt for a while but the result will amaze you. Also, eat lots of fruit to help your nerves calm. Or drink tea n ginger as often as you can. last, go to chinese store, ask for ginseng.
