Actions do speak louder than words !!!

Older or more mature people mean it most of the time. You are right sometimes it is said just so they can get their way. The words "I LOVE YOU" are used too loosely though. Younger people really don't have enough experience in life skills to use those words at an early age in a boy or girlfriend situation. Best not to use them at all until you know the full meaning of them.

Well words are empty and pointless if not backed up by actions. However, most people don't just throw around the word "love" if they don't have an inkling of care for a person. This excludes situations when someone will say it to "have their way" as you say or "get some."

I think so, or at least I'd like to think so. However, I think there are cases when a person has said it, amd then found that they misread their feelings, but didn't know how to "take it back". I did that with my ex girlfriend. I told her I loved her, but almost immediately regretted it. I don't know now what inclined me to say it at the time, but I did, and felt horrible about it.

when i say it i mean it, but ridiculously every time i have said it i end up with broken heart...not to mention that i didn't 'get my way'...now, I'll wait to have my way and then eventually will say it ... it is so scary to some people. but it is good thing to say, but the moment has to be the right one
