If a guys wife doesn't sleep with him for 6 months because she's "tired" (she's a stay at home mom of an 11 month old) and then suddenly she decides to, and it's great, does that mean everything is ok between them? She said it was because she has felt ugly for the past while, so he told her that night that she was beautiful and he loves her. Will things get better now? Will they do it more often?

She's been told every day how beautiful, appreciated, loved she is. I'm worried it's just because she promised it for valentine's day (which she didn't follow through on, it was the next day) and she felt guilty for not having done it for so long.

Oh, and she's a stay at home mom by choice, she didn't work before the baby either, so I don' think that has much to do with it. And we're only 24, so I keep hoping it's not going to be like this forever.

Women go through a lot of hormonal changes during AND after pregnancy. Her body has to adjust....give it time and she will be fine...and so will the sex life.
Be sure that she is reminded often...and I stress, often....that she is an amazing women and a wonderful mother and wife.
Maybe with a little reassurance she will start to feel better about herself sooner.

From experience I can say that after having a baby you do feel undesirable. Plus, your hormones aren't your best of friends at this time. Keep up the compliments, and be gentle and kind with your words. Also, watch the baby for an hour or so and let her take a long relaxing bath. Let her know just how special she is. Not just as your wife, but as the beautiful mother of your child.

Women go through a lot while pregnant and after the baby is born. Maybe she needs to see a doc about this. Keep giving her encouragement and maybe she will come around. Emotions are different with different people.

Maybe, it sounds like she went all hormonal after having the kid. I also think being a stay at home mom would be such a depressing life style, I'd lose my interest in sex too. Tell your wife she is beautiful everyday even if you're lying.

Yes if you keep telling her how you feel about her make her feel good about her self it sounds like she is going through post natal blues. Women get depressed after they have a baby its just a imbalance her body has to regulate so the more you give her attention and tell her how much you love her it will be easier for her to go through this time.lol

All women including myself love compliments. Maybe you should continue that approach. A little soft spoken compliment with small soft touches should work everytime!!!!! If that is what you did that night how about keeping it up
