Anyone know this song : "don't know why?"?

Question

I guess it's a popular song, and I think it's an oldie. It has a catchy and high-pitched tune. I googled the only lyrics I know " I don't know whyyyyy.........so far awayyyy" but I didn't find anything. Who sings it and what is it called?

Never mind.... I found it after much hard work. Turns out my lyrics are a bit off. I think it's "I Ran (so far away)" by A Flock of Seagulls. It's from the 80s.

If it's an oldie try ... "I don't know why I love you but I do" (sung by Clarence Frogman Henry) . ..... or ..... "I don't know why I love you like I do" Both have the same titles but are totally different. So put in more words : I don't know why I love you but I do, I only know that or I don't know why I love you like I do, I don't know why I cry so but I do. Last one is a great song. 1st song is faster than the 2nd. Maybe if you put the first and second line of words I could help you more. Good luck.

The only song I know with those lyrics is a real oldie from the forties. My aunt used to sing it. It goes: "Don't know why, there 's no sun up in the sky,;"%Stormy weather"% Since my man and I ain't together. Keeps raining all the time.."
The composer is , I believe , Hoagy Carmichael. (who wrote "Star Dust") And one of the famous singers was Lena Horne.. Google "Stormy Weather." for the rest of the words.
