I don't think that it would be a very good comparison. I can't think of anything that the Earth has in common with a cell besides the fact that some cells are fairly round.
Earth: Mostly inorganic and not alive, doesn't reproduce, mostly solid rock, hard non-membranous crust, compositionally zoned, very dry on the inside, etc...
Cells: Organic, living, reproduce, mostly liquid, covered in a membranous jacket, has DNA, consume energy to function, etc...

No .. it (earth) doesn't resperate or divide to replicate itself and has no DNA. The best comparison is that they are not at all alike.

It has a core (nucleus), it protects itself (atmosphere), it functions on its own or as a part of something bigger (galaxy)
