Saving the world from certain doom!

Or, maybe just peacefully at age 99 after a long, happy life of traveling the world and seeing all I wanted to see and knowing that I had accomplished the vast majority of the things I had set out to accomplish, with my favorite music playing in the room. I like the idea of the New Orleans funeral, but I think maybe I want to go for bagpipes instead. Not just one. A whole big regiment of bagpipes (do they call the regiments? or a corp? No, that's a drum and fife corp, isn't it...) (I need to look up what a fife is). I want the cemetery FULL of bagpipes, so many that cats are screeching in the next town.

That's how I want to go out.

Afterheroicallysavingtheplanet frominvadingaliens. I mean, after dying peacefully in my old age.

I'm not bothered by dying, particularly, except for the inconvenience of it all. Knowing my luck, I'll miss something good, on telly. As for the How - well, the quick, clean, painless concept gets trotted out... I don't expect, though, that it will be any of those, death, from experience, rarely is. I'd settle for dignified, or at least, the illusion of dignity, in my own mind. What are the chances...?
I'll settle for not too messy, not too inconvenient (for the people left behind, to 'tidy up'), and not too drawn out. And I want people wailing, and throwing themselves on my coffin. And one of those long, slow parades, with a New Orleans style jazz band playing blues, slowly, before bursting into a jaunty rendition of 'When the saints go marching in'. And maybe some jet fighters could fly over, trailing coloured smoke...
I'm sorry, what was the question?

I would rather not to die cause i haven't achieved what i want in this life.

If i die i wanna die because it was my time to go so i wont mind. And i wanna die peacefully in bed after i see all of my friends and family and say a prayer to God before i leave this world.

I certaintly would not want to live forever . . . can you imagine how disgustingly overpopulated the world will be in 100 years? Not to even mention the toll of global warming and the complete absence of natural resources.
So . . . I would like to die by spontaneous human combustion. If I'm going out, I wanna go out with a bang. So to speak.

Ick. Who'd want to live forever? There is nothing here that says you wouldn't keep getting older! Sounds awful.

I'd like to die by falling into a lake and getting eaten by a crocodile. I figure if I'm going to die, I may as well provide some other creature with a free meal. Men kill animals and take away their habitats. Fair is fair. My last words would be, "Tell my wife I love her. Now... EAT ME, CROC!! MUAH HA HA HA H-AAAAAAAGH!!"

When I die I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.
