Don't forget, she had extensions (fake hair) in anyway, so it wasn't all her real hair. Plus, hey, why not? I'm sure her hair was totally damaged by all of the dye-jobs and extensions. This will give her a fresh start. Natalie Portman shaved her head, too (of course, that was for a role....hmmmm).
