Why is every one so racists? We are all humans!?

I am tired of hearing people put down other people. Why can't we all get a long? Why should it matter what color we are? What would happened if green men came here would you put them down too?

I'm tired of people using the racist tag against anyone who doesn't agree with them. I am white, now if I call someone from another ethnic background an idiot they say I'm being racist but if I call another white person an idiot then I'm just calling them an idiot.
There is racism in all cultures usually fuelled by ignorance and poor education about the world. As long as there is "positive/reverse discrimination" there will always be the negative type. The only way to rid the world of racism is to truly put everyone on a level playing field and judge them by what they do not where they are from or what they look like.
Positive discrimination towards "minority races" (e.g. choosing someone for a position simply because they are from a certain ethnic background, not because they are the best person for the job and making anti discrimination laws that ignore racism towards whites) gives credibility to idiots like Hitler by making it appear that whites are superior and can fend for themselves while other races are somehow inferior and need protection.
If someone abusive to another simply because of race then lets come down hard on them and condemn their actions but don't accuse them simply because they don't share the same opinion as you.

Me too.I think some people are racists because of some moms. My mom used to tell me that if i didn't take a bath,I would be black,and nobody would like me.Maybe racisim is based on stuff like that.Or different cultures might think the other culture's tradition is gross or impure.
If green men came, I would be freaked out until i knew they wouldn't hurt me.lol.

I think people are racist because they see differences that they don't have and they don't like it. I really don't know how this all started, it is very weird, but that won't matter because as the years pass, races are mixing in America

i think a lot of people are racist and don't know it.hey gearshift,i don't know what race you are but why don't you go spend a year in jail and see how much racism there is from blacks against whites.and me personally i didn't have a prejudice bone in my body until i was locked up.all this bullsh*t in everyday life goes right out the window when people of different races get locked up and have to live together.i've stayed out for 10 years but my views are changed forever.the majority of black people don't have an ounce of respect for white people so you can kiss my lilly white a ss!
