This depends on your:
(1) Location (country)
(2) What type of business websites do you want to do (e-catalog, e-store, or other type)
(3) How complicated your website needs (tools to admin, design needs, etc)
(4) Rebuilding the website or starts from scratch
(5) Your deadline

If you're in the US, cost can vary depends on the developer. And to make life easier, you should search for a web developer living near your area.

Usually a team would need a month to finish a website, provided that they consist of 3-7 people, with each member receive around $50-$75 per hour.

There's also per project quotes, starts at $500 (again, depends on your website scale or scope)

You can also seek for web developers from abroad, preferably South or South East Asia, where human resources are cheap and life needs are not that demanding. Make sure they are trustworthy and speak English fluently.

Don't forget to set up a contract, so both of you had legal basis on each problematic cases.

There's also cost for obtaining a domain name and server hosting, you can ask your web developer which setup plans will do good for your website and its costs is within your budget or at least make sense.

If your target customers live in a specific country, you should definitely place your server there for faster access.
