while the rest of the collection she carries around with her, does it mean anything?

My 7-year-old neice collects stamps, and I found an ordinary stamp hidden amongst her things. And, I know for a fact that she purposely hid it. She shows off the rest of her collection of stamps. I don't understand why she does this. She's a lovable child, and gets plenty of attention, I think. Is she on the brink of OCD?

It is probably her favorite stamp and don't want to share it with anyone else

She hides one stamp and she is on the brink of OCD? I think maybe you should look OCD up and read more about it. You are obsessing with this one stamp that she took and put in a book. We all have quirks, maybe she didn't want it in her collection because she doesn't like the way it looks to her.

I work with a little boy who has OCD, and if your niece had it, you would know it, because the person usually has a repetitive problem that they do over and over many times before they can stop, or you have to intervene to get them to stop.

ocd has been to fictionalized and popularized. if she had ocd she would be doing much stranger things than hiding something. ocd, obsessive compulsive disorder is just that if you break it down. she would be compelled to do random things that would be inexplicable. what you've seen on tv is a hollow form of what ocd is and what it does to a person. when she's incapable (literally incapable) of leaving a room because she has to touch something 100 times or starts wearing layers of clothes and making strange faces because the thinks she's being too seductive otherwise start worrying,

it's very unlikely it has anything to do with ocd. maybe she feels it's special, or that it does not fit in with the rest.
does she have a sibling who's always after that stamp?
