No such thing as writer's block. Your heart isn't in the project. If it were the words would flow. Do something else, maybe writing isn't your forte. learn to play the saxophone.

Step away from the computer and go outside and get your brain totally off the story for 24 hours. If you wake up in the middle of the night with an inspiration, write it down in a notebook. Then start thinking again. If nothing's coming, polish the first part, and maybe add a detail or two that can save the story, like one of the girls sents a letter to an importent character. Good luck!

I would love to read what you have so far! I think one thing you can start adding is. How the girls try to survive without money. I mean now that they've left their home town and have no label they will need money. So maybe one of them hooks up with a big time music star for what she thinks is a music collaboration. Instead he has sex with her and throws some money at her .Then he tells her to leave before his wife gets home. One of the girls could have a drug problem that puts her into the hospital. One of the girl could have betrayed the other girls for a solo spot on their old label. I think I would need to read what you have already to help. I don't know where you want this story to go. I hope I have or can help you. Feel free to email me or IM. Good luck!

keep it positive - im not a writer, but I am a reader - I hate it when bad stuff continually happens to the main characters - it's predictable and gets me depressed - have a strong lead who dosnt take crap from anyone - I love reading about people who are so awsome that its only a matter of time before they really do make it not just because of their talent but because of their personality

i dunno how to solve writer's block, but i do know that a lot of musicians who get dropped from their labels start sending tapes to other labels or play in nightclubs for a while to make money until they fell they are ready for another try.
maybe put in a new character who helps them.
or you could put in something a little different, like they set up a stage in a crowded place and just start belting out tunes, to get some publicity before they start sending tapes to labels again.

Hack your way out of writer’s block

I recently had occasion to do some…errr…research on writer’s block. Yeah, research. That’s what I was doing. Like a scientist.

Go take a dump, wait about ten years, or at least till you have discovered something about life, then come back and start again
