It could be many things, firstly maybe its blocked injectors. Have you had it tunes lately, get that done and see what the putcome is then you can go from there

I'll agree that it's probably a plugged cat or tps sensor.

Some other things to check
-Vacuum at idle.
--a cheap vacuum gauge costs dollars and you basically just install it, and a T-fitting, on one of your engines vacuum lines. You want 15-20" of vacuum at idle. This is something they would do in a tune up.

-Check your air filter, oil, and coolant. If any of these things are plugged or grimey they will DEFINATELY make your engine run rough.

-Run a fuel system cleaner through your gas tank. This might help clean off your dirty injectors. (They will be dirty if you don't rev over 3000 much, highway driving etc.)

I don't think a battery would be the cause. If your car started, it usually won't affect anything.

Good luck!

Sounds like it is idling at too low a speed for some reason. Have your mechanic check it out.

you need to get a tune up, if you can afford it, get a complete tune up, and they'll find the problem there, or the tune up will fix the problem
