How can i find sponsors for creating an American Football League in Egypt?

We are a group of more than 150 people that trying to create an american football league in Egypt, but we have some serious financial obstacle, since the equipment is extremly expensive and we have to get it from the USA, keeping in mind that $1 = 5.75 Egyptian Pounds (L.E.). So a helmet that costs $100 in the USA, we will buy it for 575 L.E. + Shipping + Customs which might add up to more than 1000 L.E. ($200) and thats for ONE helmet!! The cost of the all the equipment and pads per player is around 3000 L.E. So the only solution is to find international sponsors alongside the Local ones. thank you

Noble idea, but...
1- You should use locally manufactured equipment. By doing this, your costs would be lowered and the local economies of the areas with the factories would improve.
2- You should contact the NFL, not Yahoo Answers.

I didn't know Egyptian's even knew what American football was much less knew how to play it. I guess you and your friends own a football that you toss around. You will not find any sponsors as their is no demand for American football in Egypt. Do any of the high schools or college's in Egypt play the sport? I guess the answer is no since you guys don't have any equipment. I think your best option is to buy Madden 2007 and play tournaments against each other. That would be alot cheaper though you wouldn't be as buff as playing under the Egyptian sun.

All you all seem to forget about the differences in rugby league or union and gridiron. It is against the rules in rugby to deliver a blow while making a tackle, wrap arms and bring the ball carrier down. In gridiron, you wrap arms to tackle plus you try to break the ball carrier in half. Rugby is a gentlemen's game played by animals. Gridiron is played by psychos and the defense wants to put every ball carrier in the cemetery, not just the hospital. Nothing is against the rules in gridiron unless the referees catch it. Without the pads, gridiron would have 10 or more FATALITIES each game. Back 100 years ago, US president T.Roosevelt just about banned football for the rough play.
