I dont want to take it all apart to find out what it is. And it doesnt show when it restarts. So, where do I go to find out what it is?

I did that...but thats the only thing they don't specify. And I have had my computer for 4 years, my manual was burned a while ago. Partly because I replaced about 70% of the internal parts, so its not even the same model it was. pcv-rs420 sony vaio.

Check your Owner's manual or go to your computer's manufacturer's website, look in support section for Specifications.

You will have to open your computer and look directly on the power supply itself. The power supply doesn't send any data to the computer, so there is no way to tell by looking in Device Manager, etc.

Or, you can try to use Google or Yahoo search and type in something like "sony pcv-rs420 power supply" and you might have better luck.

You may have to remove the side panel and read what it say on the side. Most store bought are about 350 Watts. I find you the link how to read what the label say.

It is on the back of the PC with a big on/off switch and fan.
