Every dream means something, you just have to look into it.....for example, if you dream that it is raining - rain signifies tears - which signifies sorrow - which means that you are upset about something all because it rained in your dream..... so you have to look into every aspect of the dream.
As far as a repeating dream goes ....
Dreams that recur (or repeat themselves) is a clear indication that some issue is not being confronted or that it has not yet been resolved. Your anxieties about a certain situation that you are struggling with may also cause you to have recurring dreams
If you have more questions on what certain symbols in a dream mean you can go to a website that I use http://www.dreammoods.com/
GOOD LUCK!

Specific to your question, yes for both.
My husband was in Alaska while I was in Colorado Springs and I heard him call me. I woke up and began to look for him. He wasn't there, of course. It only happened once.
Over the last 6 months, during the night, I hear the doorbell ring and I wake up and check, but no one is there. This happened about 6 times. I don't go to the door, anymore.
I have lived in a lot of places. I have dreamed very natural and real seeming dreams about homes and stores that I have never been to. But, when a memory from one of these dreams surfaces I have to decide whether or not I actually experienced that, or not.
There are at least 5 that I am not sure about. I guess it really doesn't matter.

Dreams are one of those psychological things that nobody is sure about. Testing is done, results clash, people make opinions, it's an inexact science. In my opinion (all of these will be) dreams are in response to stimuli you went through during the day. For instance, something happens, you re-live it in a dream. Two things happen, they mix in a dream. You had some thought during the day and something happened, your mind mixes the two in a dream. You think you hear someone faintly in your dream. Perhaps you hang out with that person, or thought about them during the day, and you heard a faint sound sometime during that same day. Guess what, your mind mixes the two during it's "night processing" and you get that dream. You can also have reoccuring dreams. Think nightmares. A dream happens, you wake up remembering it, and you can re-have that dream because it's in your memories. You can think of several different examples and reasons, but like I said, it's an inexact science.
